Dr. Winston Woon is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. His interest is in minimally invasive surgery (MIS) such as laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
Since completing his general surgery training, he has spent two further years to sub specialise in hepaticpancreaticobiliay (HPB) and upper gastrointestinal surgery.
He completed his medical school in Australia, University of New South Wales in 1998. He has worked and trained in Australia and returned to Singapore in 2010 as a specialist surgeon.
From 2010 to 2018, he was the head of HPB surgical unit in Tan Tock Seng Hospital. During that time, he helped develop minimally invasive surgical skills in the general surgery department and the HPB surgical unit. He was also an Adjunct Assistant Professor with the National University of Singapore, School of Medicine.
Currently, his clinics are located at Royal Square at Novena, Gleneagles Hospital and Parkway East Hospital. He also has admitting rights at Gleneagles Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Parkway East Hospital, Mount Alvernia Hospital, Thomson Medical Centre, and Farrer Park Hospital.
